The Town of Longmeadow Splits
On July 1, 1894 the West Village and the East Village of Longmeadow, MA separated into 2 towns- Longmeadow and East Longmeadow. Once again, in early 1894 a petition had been sent to the State Legislature for the division. It passed. Massachusetts Gov. Frederic T. Greenhalge signed the Bill for the separation on May 22nd of that year. It did not require a vote of town voters.

The training manager at Think Again Training and Consulting is a lifelong social activist who celebrates diversity in all its iterations. “People use ‘diversity’ when thinking about race,” she says, “but in the work we do we’re talking about all forms of identity – queer, people of color, disabled, immigrants … We’re thinking about who does not carry privilege and making sure we center those voices.” And making sure those people are seen – not glanced over, but taken in.

Brenda Cuoco, broker and owner of Brenda Cuoco & Associates Real Estate Brokerage, met Jackson Connors and his parents, Jill and Nick Connors, when selling their home. As Jill Connors explained in a social media post ahead of the benefit, Jackson was born seven weeks early, with a cleft eyebrow, a cleft eyelid, a deeper cranial “soft spot than most children,” a hypospadias and a severe right club foot. Jackson has undergone several surgeries through Shriner’s Children’s of New England, and the brokerage decided to host a fundraiser to benefit the organization.

The Ekus Women Are a Culinary Family
When Sally Ekus was 4 years old, she had dinner with Julia Child. Technically, the already legendary chef was a guest of her parents, who were running a culinary agency in Hatfield, Massachusetts.
