The Mathnasing Number Maze!

Summer is all about fun in the sun, but all that time out of the classroom means that your child might have had a summer math set back.  At Mathnasium, our tutors build a love and appreciation for math, and can help your students get back on track this fall!  Keep your student sharp with the mind-boggling world of The Amazing Number Maze! 

Get ready to test your problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge in this thrilling challenge. Your goal is to navigate through a maze by solving a series of mathematical problems. The maze consists of a 5x5 grid, and you begin at the bottom-left corner. Build yours and follow along!

Problem 1: To take your first step, you encounter the following problem: What is the product of 7 multiplied by 5?

Problem 2: After successfully solving the first problem, you move to the next square. Here's your second challenge: Calculate the sum of 68 and 29.

Problem 3: You've made it through the first two challenges! Now, onto the third problem: Simplify the expression: 3 × (4 + 2) - 8.

Problem 4: With your mathematical prowess, you proceed to the fourth square. Get ready for another problem: Find the value of x in the equation: 2x + 9 = 25.

Problem 5: Great work so far! You've unlocked the fifth square. Here's your next task: Calculate the area of a rectangle with a length of 12 units and a width of 7 units.

Problem 6: Congratulations! You've reached the sixth square. Only a few steps left! Solve this equation to proceed: Simplify: 3(5 - 2) + 4 ÷ 2.

Problem 7: You're so close to the exit now! Here's your next challenge: What is the perimeter of a square with a side length of 9 units?

Problem 8: You're almost there! Focus on this penultimate problem: Calculate the value of y in the equation: 3y + 7 = 31.

Problem 9: You've arrived at the final square. The exit is just within reach! Solve this last problem to claim your victory: What is the value of 12 squared?
