Home is where the heart is - and where the heat is - if you take care of your heating systems.  Berkshire Heating and Air Conditioning not only helps customers service their existing systems, but they also provide new alternatives to traditional systems.  Invest your tax refund in the future of your heating and cooling systems and you’ll soon see the returns.

The efficiency of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems is a critical factor in reducing energy consumption, carbon emissions, and costs associated with energy bills - and often the efficiency of new systems can pay for themselves in months, not years!

One of the most efficient HVAC systems available is the geothermal heat pump. A geothermal heat pump system uses the stable temperature of the ground to regulate the temperature inside the building. The system works by extracting heat from the ground during the winter and rejecting it during the summer, making it an efficient and eco-friendly way to regulate indoor temperature. In addition, geothermal heat pumps have a longer lifespan compared to traditional HVAC systems, and they require less maintenance, making them a cost-effective option in the long run.

The ductless mini-split system can be the perfect solution for homes who do not have an existing duct system. Ductless mini-split systems consist of an outdoor unit that is connected to one or more indoor units. The indoor units can be adjusted independently to regulate temperature in different areas of the building. These systems are energy efficient and offer precise temperature control.

Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems are also efficient HVAC systems for homes in New England. VRF systems are similar to ductless mini-split systems, but they are designed to handle larger buildings with multiple zones. These systems are energy efficient, and they allow for individual temperature control in each zone, making them ideal for large buildings with multiple areas that require different temperatures.

Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) systems are another efficient HVAC option. These systems are designed to provide fresh air to the building while recovering heat from the outgoing air. This makes them energy efficient and helps to reduce monthly bills. HRV systems are ideal for buildings with high occupancy levels and buildings with tight insulation, as they help to reduce indoor air pollution and maintain indoor air quality.

Finally, “smart” HVAC systems use advanced technology and artificial intelligence to optimize heating and cooling performance and reduce energy consumption. Smart HVAC systems can be controlled from a smartphone or tablet, and they can learn from usage patterns to provide efficient and comfortable indoor conditions.

If your energy bills are through the roof, Berkshire Heating and Air Conditioning can not only help you maintain your current system, but they can also install new units in your home.  With so many options available - reach out to ask us what might be the best fit for your home.
